The level of comfort definitely makes up for the lack of the side pockets on the black chair I used to own.You've seen the one I'm talking about; the black one that has the ottoman, which takes up more floor space.
With this chair, now when I don't need the foot rest, it can be tucked away, unlike the cheaper one I made reference to.
