Carlson Counter Stool Review

I gave this a 4 because it was so inexpensive and certainly worth the price. If it had been more expensive, I would have given it a three. The stools were for an out of the way area in my home and I didn't want to spend a lot on them as they would not get seen or used much. These stools look nice, work fine, and fit perfectly with my need. My complaints are: some of the legs have pretty big scratches at the bottom, but I was able to turn the stool so the scratches are not apparent. The shipping carton was VERY damaged, so perhaps some of the scratches came during shipping. I am also not sure how the seat vinyl would hold up to heavy use - but not a concern for me.

The "leather" is not real but synthetic and the "brass" rivets are plastic like and attached to each other and a little cheap looking.But for the price the product is solid wood and sturdy.If you had a mind to you could easily refinish the seat if you wanted.It would still be a good deal.The diamater is shallow and may not be comfortable for larger people.But as for me the stool takes up less space and is very comfy for the kids.All in all I like this product for the price.

Very fast shipping - delivered a week ahead of schedule.

Good packaging - arrived via FedEx a few days after order - boxes in great shape and packaged well.

Worksmanship - seems ok - the wood is stained evenly and the craftsmanship is average or above (especially for the money)

Appearance - great - the stools look great and are really quite sturdy (the splay of the legs is adequate for stability)- and the feel of the fabric/pvc is good - it doesn't feel plastic-y or slippery to sit on, but more leather-like to the touch.There isn't a load of cushion on the seat, but it's enough for comfort.The tone of the wood is lighter than in the picture, but I have mission red oak furniture, so this worked out to my advantage as it matches quite nicely.The stools are much bigger width-wise than they appear they would be in the stock photo and are quite comfy to sit on - you don't feel like you'll fall off like you sometimes do on the backless stools.

I've seen similar stools that don't swivel selling for much more elsewhere so it seemed like a good deal.All in all - this was a very good buy and I am pleased and impressed as usual :o)

I love the stools and table set, looks great, comfortable, shipped to me with no problems. Just be careful with scratches on the top of the table. I had a get together and there were a couple of wine bottles and a bottle opener that left scratches that I haven't been able to get out.

Set of Two 29"H Soho Bycast Leather Barstools Review

I've had these barstools for a day or two now, and after assembling them and testing them out I'm definitely glad I got them. They are really high quality, and the seats are very comfortable.

Setup was easy enough to figure out, luckily, as the instructions were poorly translated and I believe referred to an older model.

My only real complaint is that the cross members don't align perfectly, and need to be rotated a bit to get a snug fit.

I'd also recommend the use of a power drill to put the screws in, as you'll want them nice and tight. I wasn't able to get enough torque from just a simple screwdriver.

Overall though, these chairs were a great find and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a really sharp looking and comfortable barstool.

(Sidenote: the seats are real leather. Don't listen to that other review.)

These brown leather chairs were exactly what I'd been looking for at the absolute BEST price online and in stores. The directions were not very good & they were a bit difficult and time-consuming to assemble, but it was worth the effort. They are comfy and look great. There were just a few scuff marks on the wood, but they would be there in a month anyway. Overall, I'm very pleased.

Well the price was sure right!But, they are a little on the 'flimsy' side, and can be tipped over a little too easily.And 2 of the 4 we purchsased do not sit level.But, you get what you pay for.They look great in our bar, and since we didn't want to pay $300+ per stool, we got what we paid for.They'll be fine for a few years.They're sure more comfortable than our old ones.
